When a person any crime has been convicted of or charged with any crime and that police custody evades the police and her catch has been ordered and knowing all these things even if no such Convicting or hiding a criminal in his home is a punishable offense under Section 216 of the IPC . Provision of penalty under ipc 216
1.) According to Section 216 of the Indian Penal Code, concealment or protection of a criminal convicted of death penalty shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term of 7 years and also with monetary punishment .
The death penalty is awarded by the court for serious crimes like murder, gang rape, Terrorabad etc. There is a provision for execution of the convict .
2.) If the offender has been awarded life imprisonment for a crime or is punishable with imprisonment for 10 years, there is a provision for imprisonment of such offender for 3 years with or without monetary punishment.
Life imprisonment means imprisonment for all life or remaining age of the person. This punishment is given for some serious offenses like murder, Balayoun crime, rape, treason , human trafficking, robbery etc.

Section 216 of the Indian Penal Code is a common offense but it is a bailable offense but this offense is not negotiable.

What is ipc 216 (A)?
According to Section 216 (A) of the Indian Penal Code, this section is related to robber or robbers , under this, if a person gives shelter to robber or robbers, then for this the punishment will be punishable by 1 to 7 years as well as financially. Penalties may also be imposed.
