Depression is believed to be the leading cause of suicide . Talking about statistics, about 5.5 crore people in our country suffer from mental illness . And mental illness is considered a major factor for suicide.

WHO according to data set of 1 million people in India 21 people are committing suicide every year. While the world average in 1 million 11 of people commit suicide every year.

What is the Indian legal provision regarding suicide?
